Parkersburg is Growing With Pride

A reminder to those on the new Highway 20 that we are still here.
Highway 20 is both a challenge and an opportunityfor the communities it has bypassed. Some interesting things to think about:
  • After the May 25, 2008 EF5 Tornado the following businesses have rebuilt:  Parkersburg Lumber, Luhring's Monuments, Parkersburg Car Wash, Kwik Star, Brother's Market, AP Appliance, MidWestOne Bank, Hansmann & Petersen Law, Iowa State Bank, Parkersburg Family Dental, Redline Auto Body and Legend Trail Golf.
  • New businesses are:  Parkersburg Tire & Alignment, US Cellular, Taylor Physical Therapy, Hwy 57 Auto Sales & Service
  • Coming soon are:  Hansel Construction and Trees Construction & Storage
  • A new $19 million high school and nearly 300 new homes have been rebuilt
  • The ease of travel will help attract new residents and industry. This will mean more people in town to shop, live and send their kids to school.
  • Our retail sales continue to go up on an annual basis.
  • New businesses are filling up the downtown district with Jenn's Beauty Shop, Buss Chiropractic, Friends Sewing & Crafts, New Dimensions Counseling and forever now..photography.
